Grafton Village Utility Department
The Village of Grafton provides water,
sewer, and electric services to Village residents and businesses. The
Village also contracts to have curbside rubbish and recycling pick-up. Fee
for these services are billed to the consumer on a monthly basis and are due
by the 25th each month. Late Fees may be assessed.
Utility bills can be paid either by mail
or in person at Grafton Town Hall, 960 Main Street. Town Hall hours are
8:00 to 4:30 P.M. Monday through Friday. Utility bills can also be placed in an after
hours drop box located at the front west corner of Town Hall.
Bills can also be paid by an
automatic withdrawal from either your
checking or savings account. Forms are available for this service. The payment will be deducted from your account on the
due date of the utility bill.

The Village also offers the option of
budget billing for all electric homes, security lights and special meters
for outside water usage. For more information on these and other utility
services, please contact the utility office.

Application
The Village does have a recycling
program. Please use clear bags for yard waste disposal. Blue bags can be
used for other recyclable products such as tin or aluminum products, glass
and plastic products. Newspapers should be placed in a separate blue
recycling bag. Curbside pick-up for recyclable items is on Fridays with the
regular rubbish service.

Follow These Simple Steps |

Collect these recyclables and place
them together (commingled) in your "Blue Bags". |

| Bag 1: Glass, Plastic and Cans |
|

Glass |
Recycle all glass beverage bottles and
jars. Rinse containers and remove lids and neck rings. Paper
labels don't need to be removed. Please, no used pesticide
containers, window glass, light bulbs, mirrors or ceramics. |

Plastic |
Recycle rinsed plastic milk containers
and plastic bottles and containers that have the number 1 or 2 stamped
on the bottom. Motor oil, antifreeze, pesticide, herbicide and
wide mouthed containers are excluded - please place them with your
garbage. |

Aluminum cans |
Recycle rinsed aluminum and steel cans.
Please remove paper from cans. |

| Bag 2: Newspapers |

Newspapers |
Recycle newspapers. Place all your
newspapers in a brown grocery sack and then place in a separate blue
bag. Tie the blue bag. Tie the blue bag securely.
Please, no magazines, phone books, milk cartons or other paper products.

Exclusions |
Laminated, Foil-Lined, Wax-Coated,
Soiled or Wet Paper, Food Service Paper (Cups, Plates, etc.), Tissue
Paper and Paper Towels. |

Set your blue bags out on the curb next to your regular
refuse by 6:30 a.m. on your normal collection day. It is not necessary
to put out a bag every week, just put it out when full.
